Our Upper School consists of grades 4-12. The Upper Campus is located on 3205 Holmes Ave. NW, Huntsville AL 35816.
Valley Fellowship offers a rigorous, college preparatory, academic program. Our mission is to Raise Godly Leaders, and our goal in the Upper School is to educate the whole person in body, mind, and spirit. VFCA faculty and staff are born again, Spirit-filled believers in Jesus Christ who are trained to teach each subject from a Biblical Worldview. VFCA offers middle and high school students smaller class sizes and technology for digital learning among a Christ-centered learning environment.
The Upper School instructs from a blended curriculum which consists of Saxon Math, A Beka History and Grammar, Bob Jones Science, and Classic and Modern Literature. Our English program teaches strenuous writing units starting in 7th grade by introducing a college preparatory research project. Dual Enrollment and AP courses are also offered as part of our college preparatory program. VFCA uses tools such as Naviance to offer students a comprehensive college and career readiness solution for postsecondary goals.
VFCA is part of the Alabama Christian Athletic Association and competes in the areas of Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and Baseball. We also have a partnership with The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Fitness Center, which allows our students to compete each spring in swimming. Our students also lead in Fine Arts by participating in VFCA’s Theatre Department, Concert Band, Yearbook creative development and other Fine Arts opportunities.
VFCA Upper School students are local and global leaders. Our students serve Veterans and neighbors of our local community and pray for our state and national leaders as Delegates of the National Children’s Prayer Congress. Upper School Leadership Academy students in grades 7th-12th earn an average of 15-20 community service hours each school year. These students serve the body of Christ through local and global missions outreaches by attending annual mission’s trips to Washington D.C., Guatemala, and other nations.
